Welcome
I'm Sianya Dawnmist
This is where I write about reading as a personal, lived thing.

📚 Books
But sometimes a book pulls me under completely. Pages disappear. Time slips. I resurface hours later slightly disoriented and very attached. Both ways of reading are real, and both belong here.
I’m drawn to:
-
language that lands emotionally rather than efficiently
-
moments that linger more than plots
-
books that meet you differently depending on when you read them
You’ll find reflections rather than reviews, quotes with space around them, and notes on books I return to, not just new ones. I’m less interested in whether a book is “good” than whether it did something.
Reading isn’t a performance. Some books ask you to linger. Others ask you to disappear into them for a while. I make room for both.
Read at your own pace.
There’s no rush here.
