Welcome
I'm Sianya Dawnmist
This is where I write about games as places you spend time in.
Not just what you do in them, or how well you play, but how they feel to inhabit. The comfort of repetition. The tension that sits in your shoulders during certain moments. The way a game can quietly hold you at the end of a long day, hands on a controller, mind half elsewhere and fully present at the same time.
🎮 Games
I play a wide range of things, sometimes slowly, sometimes in long immersive stretches, and I’m mostly interested in:
- atmosphere and mood
- story and character, even when they’re understated
- games as comfort, ritual, or emotional space
You’ll find a mix of reflections rather than technical breakdowns. Stream recaps that focus on moments and energy rather than play-by-play. Notes on why older games still matter, and why certain scenes, mechanics, or worlds linger long after the screen goes dark.
Streaming is part of this, but not the whole picture. Some games are best talked about mid-play, shared in real time. Others need distance and quiet before they make sense.
This isn’t about optimisation or hot takes. It’s about games as lived experience.
Dip in wherever you like.
There’s no correct order here.
